DIY to Staging Your Home

A DIY guide to staging your home
When you're putting your house on the market, preparation and presentation can be the key to selling faster and for a better price. While curb appeal improvements can definitely help, interiors are always the most important selling point.
Here's how to do your very own DIY staging:
Make those small fixes
Tasks like patching walls, replacing caulk, repairing flooring scratches or stains, replacing light bulbs and unclogging drains, will give the potential buyer the feeling of a well-maintained home.
Cut down on the furntiture
Having too much furniture in a room can make it feel small and cramped. Remove 1-2 pieces from each room to give the space a little more breathing room, leaving no more than three main focal points per room.
No prospective buyer wants to walk into a house with a dirty bathroom or scuffed-up walls. Take some time to clean every room in your house, but beware of cleaning smells. Remember not to overpower your house with scented items.
Remove personal effects
We know you went to great lengths to make your home your home, but now that you're trying to sell it, keep in mind that not everyone has the same tastes. Take out personal photographs and clutter - you want the potential buyer to be able to envision their lives inside the house.
Keep It fresh
Take a light and bright approach in every room. If it looks old or feels dirty, clean or replace it. Add some fresh flowers to a vase for that extra little bit of freshness.
